if you go to meet yourself when you’re older, while you’re younger, you’re going to have to meet yourself at the exact time and place again.

it’s not often that i think scientifically.  it’s also not often that i wake up at 3 am.  today was one of those not-often days.  you know, the ones that don’t come so often.  i opened at starbucks.  and for some reason, my store opens at the God-awful hour of 4 am.  so, i had to be there at 3:30.  me and 3:30 don’t mix well.  now its 6:26 pm, and i’ve already been awake for 15 hours and 26 minutes.  i just watched the animated film ‘meet the robinsons’ with amanda and my sisters.  if you know nothing about the story, it’s about a kid who hates his life (but doesn’t black his eyes… he just wears socks up to his knees), and so he travels in time only to meet himself in the future.  not exactly, an original story line, but nonetheless it made me think:if time travel were possible, what happened in the course of said travel would have to happen over and over and over again to infinity.  because, if you go to meet yourself when you’re older, while you’re younger, you’re going to have to meet yourself at the exact time and place again.  and again.  which means that every moment in your life would always be happening.  at the same time.   i don’t know.  i guess it’s something to think about.  because, i know that all of you are hard at work on your time machines.  i know i sure am.  and now there’s even more of an incentive to figure it out:because if you do, every day of your life will live forever from that day forward.  then the deal is done.  you will be immortalized.  you just have to travel and meet yourself.  forever.i’m delirious.  ‘one point twenty-one gigawatts!!!’ –  dr. brown
